Functional lower limb test
Call us at 020 759 7319 and make an appointment for a functional lower limb test
In addition to anatomical structures and posture, the functional lower limb test looks closely at motion. Video recording is used here to help. The purpose is to analyze the activities that occur during movement (walking, running, jumping, squatting…) and to find the cause of the pain in the background. Video recording makes it possible to stop and slow down the movement, which enables a holistic as well as individual examination. Based on the research, physiotherapeutic measures (therapeutic training, manual treatment or activity-guiding taping) can be targeted to a potential cause of pain.
Lower limb examination and videotaping can be used to monitor the normalization of movement management in post-operative and injury rehabilitation. From a preventive point of view, the lower limb test is suitable for determining the load or running technique of an active mover and athlete.
Do you have:
- incorrect positioning of the toes, ex. bunions (hallux valgus)
- Morton’s neuroma
- heel pain (plantar fasciitis)
- inflammation of the lining of the hip (bursitis)
- Achilles tendon ailments
- runner’s or jumper’s knee problem
- shin splints
- joint wear and tear (osteoarthritis)
- asymmetry due to differences in limb length
- other stress-related pains in the lower limbs or lower back
If you answered yes to one or some of these and would like to get rid of your trouble, you have a good reason to map out whether your daily activities create patterns that cause the pain problems. Functional lower limb test is used to map individual movement patterns and the cause of your pain.
