Nutritional guidance
Exercise plays an important role in preventing diseases and maintaining functional capacity. A healthy diet and sleep are also important pillars of health and reduce the risk of many diseases.
We get energy from nutrients that are carbohydrates, fats and proteins. When there is a balance between energy consumption and intake, an individual’s weight stays under control, and there is enough energy for exercise. Weight management is very individualized to the person and challenging for many. Too often, our shopping bags are filled with many unnecessary items. Making healthy choices requires both knowledge of one’s own consumption needs and the skill and self-control to make healthy choices.
Do you find yourself thinking about such dietary topics as:
“My midsection grows even though I think I’m eating healthily.”
“My blood sugar is slightly elevated, how could I prevent the onset of diabetes?”
“My cholesterol levels are elevated, is there anything I can do to prevent this?”
