A Safe Step Towards a Stronger Knee

Hi, i´m Esra. I’m an international student in Finland and came to Nordic Health for rehabilitation after knee surgery. I’m so glad I did! I was originally drawn to them for the amazing machines they have in order to assist in the rehabilitation process, tracking exactly what your range of motion is and what muscle strength you have. Whilst these machines are indeed very helpful in the rehabilitation process, the best part about Nordic Health is their staff. I’m especially grateful to my physiotherapist Elena, who is professional, knowledgeable and always keeping up the good vibes during sessions. She always found ways to adapt exercises to whatever I was capable of doing that week. I cannot recommend Elena and Nordic Health enough!

Personalised Rehabilitation Combining Advanced Technology and Expert Physiotherapy for International Students

As part of Esra’s rehabilitation journey, we performed isometric strength measurements of both legs at regular intervals. This provided us with objective data to monitor her progress and track how her strength developed throughout the rehabilitation process.

The results showed clear improvements in lower-limb strength, with right knee extension increasing from 41 Nm to 240 Nm and left knee extension from 121 Nm to 245 Nm. Overall, the strength ratio between extension and flexion is now almost balanced on both sides, representing a substantial improvement in knee strength balance.
Below, you can see Esra’s progress from the beginning of her rehabilitation in January 2024 until the end in June 2026, objectively measured through isometric strength testing.
